The German company Automotive has decided to improve the technology related to the front lights allowing to detect people or animals up to 100 meters in front.

In the midst of the ecological transition where everyone is focused on understanding and discovering the future of electric and hydrogen traction, this is how Opel leaps to the news for a very interesting new technology.

Its name is Night Vision and it allows you to see people or any object positioned on the road several tens of meters in front of the car.

Technically we are talking about powerful intelligent things with an IntelliLux led pixel system which has been joined by a military-derived system that uses an infrared night vision camera that has been positioned in the center of the front grille.

In this way it is possible to detect the temperature between people and the surrounding environment even reaching a distance of 100 meters.

In the event that a problem is detected, an alert arrives on the digital display of the instrumentation showing the images live.

In this way the driver can clearly recognize the object in a distinct way from the surrounding environment. This technology is very useful especially for all the people who often drive inside the extra-urban roads not equipped with street lighting.

In these cases the presence of animals is certainly not rare and in many cases it is dangerous given the important dimensions of some animals.

Let us not forget the possible presence of pedestrians or cyclists without lights on the side of the road which can still create a problem both for them, but also for those in the car.

This technology is very useful and we believe it will be extended to all different Opel cars in the coming years.
