BMW presents the flagship version of the 7 series, with two very powerful electric motors.

The BMW automotive giant has decided to get really serious with this monster on four wheels.

We all know how sustainable mobility is now an aspect that has entered our lives. Hybrid cars are now the norm, and electric cars are gradually developing more and more.

Even BMW, which has always been linked to the concept of sportiness within the German automotive brands, has decided to push the accelerator in this area.

The all-electric i7 flagship was presented some time ago: now the time has come to see the most powerful version first-hand, with over one thousand Newton meters of torque.

Precisely we are talking about 1015 Newton meters of torque, which are combined with 660 horsepower.

All this power is made possible by two electric motors, which are positioned in an optimal way, in order to give driving dynamics without weighing down the car too much.

BMW has decided to place the two motors in the front axle and the rear axle respectively. The one positioned on the front axle has a power of 258 horsepower, while the one positioned on the rear axle has a peak power of 489 horsepower.

Both units are fifth generation BMW eDrive products. In this way it is possible to have both the electric motor, but also all the electronic components and the transmission in a single casing.

To make the most of all the disruptive BMW force, the so-called launch control has been inserted, which allows you to take impressive shots aboard this enormous car.

In fact, let's not forget that we are talking about the BMW flagship, which, even if powered by an electric power supply, still maintains its extra large size.

The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes place in just 3.7 seconds. The top speed was electronically limited to 250km/h, but it certainly could have overcome this barrier very easily.

For those who are interested in knowing the data relating to autonomy, we can say that the latter is of an excellent level, and is declared to be at least 488 km. Clearly a lot depends on the driving style and if the accelerator is used in an "important" way with lightning-fast progressions.

In terms of recharging, the latter can take place in alternating current up to 22 kW, while in direct current it can even reach 195 kW.

In this way, it takes just 10 minutes to be able to travel 170 km in all-electric mode.

BMW engineers have put their hands on the chassis of the 7 Series, in order to make it even more dynamic and capable of carrying the full power of electric acceleration.

We have really excellent equipment as standard, starting with the adaptive air suspension and electronically controlled shock absorbers, as well as active all-wheel steering and active roll stabilization.

During the presentation, BMW decided to take photographs with two body tones. In fact, we note the highest part of the car colored black, while the lowest part takes on a beautiful, very warm and enveloping colour.

Note, in particular, how the upper color line is exactly at the height of the front headlights, very thin and truly beautiful.

This car is aesthetically very aggressive, and for some it could even be "too" aggressive. Certainly it is not a car that goes unnoticed on the outside, but also on the inside.

Climbing aboard, in fact, one is surrounded by a large horizontal display made up, in turn, of two displays which incorporate all the information relating to the car.

All the old physical keys have been practically eliminated, and now the car is fully electronically controlled.

Climbing aboard the car, you immediately notice how technology, within the Automotive sector, is able to make giant strides. Just think of how, until a few years ago, cars had much more complex lines and equally characterized by an exceptional finish.

The BMW 7 Series has always stood out for its refinement and tasteful lines.

An important update, such as sustainable mobility, has made it possible to completely renew the lines, introducing a concept of linearity and minimalism of the interiors.

It would be enough simply to get into a 7 Series from 10 years ago to notice how the interiors have been distorted, especially the infotainment.

The seats are, more or less, very similar, even if clearly enhanced by new technologies and new materials.

This means that the Automotive market is still able to express itself very much, in terms of perfecting lines and technology.

To see it live we will have to wait a few more months, as the worldwide launch will arrive in the second half of 2023. Prices? No information about this from BMW.
