The house connected to Renault has decided to present the first hybrid engine way.

Sustainable mobility is progressively affecting all sectors and all brands. One of the last brands that had yet to "convert" to the hybrid engine was Dacia.

For those who don't know this Brand, it's a brand connected directly to the Renault world. Based in Romania, the Dacia brand over the years has created a whole series of economy cars.

A very consolidated reality within Europe, but also outside the European borders. Dacia has built and builds compact cars, but also SUVs.

Dacia Duster is one of the best-selling SUVs in its segment, precisely because of its excellent quality/price ratio. Clearly we cannot have an excellent quality of top quality materials and fabrics, with a very low price.

Dacia Duster is also present with LPG engines, precisely to intercept those people who need to save money, not only during the purchase, but also during vehicle management.

Dacia had lagged behind with the progressive development of sustainable mobility. News from a few hours ago, the decision to present the first car with a hybrid engine. We are talking about the Dacia Jogger, that is, a kind of station wagon with a slightly raised appearance.

Being connected to the Renault world, the new Dacia Jogger in the hybrid version has the same powertrain as the 140 horsepower Clio.

This car has been presented for less than a year, but already benefits from this major upgrade. The arrival at the local Dacia dealership will take place around March next year with list prices of around €25,000.

This vehicle is presented in the 7-seater Expression version, therefore an excellent compromise for space and dynamism in the city. Dacia Jogger is designed for all those people who need to have plenty of space on board, such as families with several children and who also prefer/need to travel with their grandparents on board.

Under the hood, we can find an engine with a combined 140 horsepower. The basis is the 4-cylinder petrol engine with 1600 cubic cm and 90 horsepower. Two electric motors are combined with it, one with 50 horsepower and one that can be used as a starter and high voltage generator.

The electrified automatic transmission has straight-tooth clutches and is equipped with four ratios dedicated to the thermal block and two assigned to the electric one. In this way, friction can be eliminated.

Being a hybrid car, we must also consider the regenerative braking which makes it possible to recover up to 80% of kinetic energy in the city in electric mode, and with savings of up to 40% in consumption (compared to similar internal combustion engines).

An important aspect of sustainable mobility is the battery, which is guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 km and is recharged thanks to braking and deceleration.

Interesting is the decision by Dacia to insert a Brake mode, which allows you to increase regenerative braking and enhance engine braking. In this way we have more driving comfort in urban areas, since the driver can minimize the use of the brake pedal.

Thus, observing Dacia's proposals for the Jogger, we notice how this car can be combined with the 100 horsepower LPG version and the 100 horsepower Turbo petrol version. A wide range, which therefore allows people to be included as much as possible within a wide choice.

This choice will also be declined based on the body colors, which will be implemented starting in the next few weeks. Six new colors are already available for an even wider and more diversified choice.

Aesthetically, the new brand will also be presented, which will be positioned in the center of the front grille.

The new logo will be recognizable by the union of the letters D and C, almost to create a chain link. This symbol of solidarity and very strong bond wants to convey a really important solidity.

We'll see how the Automotive market will respond to this new proposal from Dacia. We are quite sure that it will be taken with great interest by all those people who use their car mainly in the city.

Using a hybrid car within the urban perimeter is able to transmit important benefits in terms of driveability and in terms of use.

Consumption in the city, thanks to hybrid cars, decreases significantly compared to the classic petrol. Let's not forget that Dacia had already created an electric car (the Spring), but a hybrid car was missing. Finally here it is!
