The Romanian house has decided to renew its record-breaking SUV with a slight restyling.

If you think of Dacia, you think of Dacia Duster. A compact SUV that has managed to make almost 2 million units sold from 2010 to today. The Italian market is also very interesting for Dacia as around 250,000 units have been sold.

The success of Dacia Duster is a mix of low cost price and an overall pleasant design, with non-premium finishes but still acceptable for the proposed price.

Dacia now presents a restyling for the second generation that changes some aspects, in particular in aesthetics. The main changes concern the optical groups that have been updated with the Y-shaped design of the LEDs, in line with the Dacia stylistic signature.

Small details have also been made in the plastics of the grille and in the lower part of the bumper.

Continuing the vision of the car we realize that there is a spoiler in the rear and alloy wheels with a new design.

The big news, however, can be seen when getting on board the car as the large 8-inch touch display incorporates a new infotainment system.

The old owners of Dacia Duster would immediately notice a greater sensitivity of the screen and a greater use than the previous one. It will be possible to connect the mobile phone via Android Auto and Apple Carplay even without a cable and this benefits in terms of usability and functionality.

The central armrest is now sliding and this allows for greater ergonomics for the driver, who is in a situation of better management of the car.

Some small details on the technology have also been added as well as the auto-ignition headlights, the blind spot sensor and parking assistance. The steering wheel controls are now backlit and this allows them to be used even in the dark.

The most interesting news regarding the engines is that linked to the turbo petrol engine of 1300 cubic centimeters and a capacity of 150 horsepower. Unfortunately, enthusiasts who like to downshift and upshift would have to settle for an exclusively automatic dual-clutch transmission with 6 speeds, as found in the other models of the Renault range.

This car is characterized, as all Dacia Duster owners know, by a soft appearance which suggests not having an aggressive attitude especially on rough road paths with many curves.

There is also a 100 horsepower LPG engine that allows you to have significant savings while driving and to be able to travel with a lot of space with us. The capacity to refill the LPG tank has also increased in this supply, from just 34 to 50 liters.

The GPL version has an absolute dominant position as regards sales in Italy as it has an absolutely very low cost and starts at around 13 thousand euros. A really low price for all those who go a long way. The latter will also be happy to learn that sixth gear has been engaged, perfect for the motorway, which makes a significant difference especially for those who travel many motorway sections at high speeds. In this way the engine is able to drop in revs and have a better performance in terms of consumption.

This new car produced in Romania therefore manages to combine a sense of robustness but also of low prices thanks to a truly interesting Dacia policy for many people.
