The US manufacturer of the blue oval has decided to make a restyling for the small compact Fiesta, the ideal car for city life (and not). To change are the headlights but also a sportier nose and surrounded by really bright body colors.
Fans of the US brand will immediately notice from the image how the face of the Fiesta has changed.
In fact, 4 years have passed since the launch of the seventh generation model that has slightly revolutionized the Ford Fiesta line. The time has therefore come to revive the car in a new graphic design with a more aggressive nose and new LED headlights.
However, we have to wait until the first months of 2022 to see it on its way, as this version will not be available before the start of the new year.
The floor of the car is the same seen and shared with the Puma SUV, but now the front design has been redesigned starting from the headlights.
Currently the LED headlights will be standard for everyone and will also be equipped with the anti-glare device on the whole range. The nose was raised slightly and also widened in the grille. The Ford logo is now clearly visible in the front grille, precisely inside the black honeycomb.
The alloy wheels have been renewed with new designs that go hand in hand with a variation of the colors as well. Ford has also decided to revive the fittings by inserting more options within the standard versions.
Ford Fiesta Active is now slightly more like a crossover, while the ultra sporty ST version gains 10 Newtonmeter of torque and a new hue or Mea Green.
As for the colors, we can say that we have some interesting debuts like the Boundless Blue and the Bearlife Berry.
Climbing aboard the car, we immediately notice the large display that characterizes the 12-inch digital cockpit, which contains all the information necessary for the driver in a single display.
This car can also be controlled remotely via the Ford Pass Connect system. We can't control the whole car, but we can open and close the doors and start the car. There is also the possibility of having information about the fuel level and tire pressure from a distance. A simple but interesting aspect when we have the doubt if we have correctly closed the car. Thanks to this app we can safely close the car doors for safety even if we have entered the house or away from our car by now.
The 2022 version also allows you to have a 3-cylinder EcoBoost hybrid engine with a displacement of 1000 cubic centimeters and a 48 V lightweight hybrid system. In this structure, the electric motor is connected to the thermal one with a belt and replaces the alternator. .
Thanks to this structure it is possible to recover energy by recovering energy after braking, thanks to an additional lithium-ion battery. In this way the three-cylinder engine can be started in 350 ms and for this reason the start and stop system can switch it off as many times as it deems appropriate. Even if we are in a slowdown phase in view of a stop below 25 km per hour, the engine can be switched off even if the vehicle is in gear. This engine manages to reach a power of 125 horsepower.
Obviously Ford Fiesta 2022 also brings with it an interesting LPG engine while obviously missing the diesel engine that is no longer produced in the Fiesta.
Excellent news regarding prices: we start from about 17 thousand euros for the basic version or a 1,100 cc with 75 horsepower to reach € 31,000 for the 5-door version of the 1,500 cc ST and 200 horsepower with 6-speed manual gearbox .
