The car manufacturer which is part of the Renault group presented a very affordable mini Crossover. Taking full advantage of all state eco-incentives, it is possible to take this car home with not even € 10,000. Let's find out together how it is made, starting from the dimensions.
For all those who are looking for a big, wide and abundant car, this is definitely not the vehicle for you. The new Dacia Spring is a compact car, 100% electric and can already be ordered. It will arrive in our market by September and has all the credentials to create something really good in terms of market share.
Dacia wanted to make something that wasn't on the market yet. We are talking about a small compact mini SUV powered only by electricity. The declared autonomy should ensure about 300 km in the city and 230 in the mixed cycle. Clearly we are not at the levels of Tesla or other supercars that can even reach 700 km of autonomy.
However, let us remember that we are talking about a car that costs around € 20,000 in the list and with the current economic incentives, it can be taken home in some cases even for € 9,460. For all those who also want to choose this car as the first or second car of their family, there is also a payment of just € 89 per month through a loan with the parent company.
Where is it created? This car is made in China, in the same factory where the Renault ZK-E, dedicated to the Chinese market, is made.
In terms of size this car is quite compact and measures approximately 3.7m. In it there are 4 quite comfortable people and the trunk is around 290 liters. This figure may not be exciting, but it is all in all comparable even to larger cars that use methane as propulsion, for example. Inside the passenger compartment, there are other compartments that allow you to have about 23 liters of capacity.
The Dacia Spring, as standard, includes air conditioning, radio, six airbags, emergency braking and a geolocation system. Depending on the set-up, it is also possible to have a modern MediaNav multimedia system, which allows you to have a 7-inch touch screen in which we will find the navigator, the Dab radio, and integration with the smartphone and Apple carplay and Android auto.
The dashboard is analog , but there is still a small 3.5-inch color monitor where obviously there is no lack of residual autonomy and the speed limiter. The steering wheel obviously has built-in controls and therefore allows the driver to be able to drive at best without distances from the road.
In terms of motorization we find a 33 kW battery pack, whose performance is not exactly creepy. Acceleration from zero to 100 km per hour takes about 19 seconds. However, we must consider that we are talking about an entry-level car in the electric market and that therefore has the objective of obtaining a maximization of kilometers in terms of a low cost of the vehicle.
To recharge the car, it takes about 13 hours for the 2.3 kW domestic socket, but the full charge can also be obtained in just one hour and 30 minutes with the continuous 30 kW column.
The warranty is 3 years on the car and 8 on the battery. This is absolutely synonymous with tranquility for all those who want to buy such a car and position themselves in a safe situation in terms of traffic blocks, thanks to an electric car.
