On the SS27 of the Gran San Bernardo are currently reported snow conditions. This meteorological phenomenon occurs in two specific stretches of the road:

  • between 1.31 km after the crossing Variney - G.S. Bernardo
  • Between 10.81 km before the Gran S.Bernardo/border intersection with Switzerland

    • Motorists are invited to pay particular attention while driving in these areas, since the presence of snow can make the road conditions insecure.

    Road Safety Indications:

    • reduce speed : adapt the speed to weather conditions.

    • maintain a safety distance : increase the distance from the vehicle that precedes to ensure sufficient space in case of sudden braking.

    • use winter tires : if possible, equip the vehicle with tires suitable for snow.

    • check the forecasts : before leaving, check the weather conditions along the way.

    It is recommended to travel only if strictly necessary and pay attention to updates on the road network.
