There are reports of disruptions on the A8 Milan-Varese due to an accident near Origgio Ovest. There is currently a 5 km tailback between the A8-A36 Pedemontana junction and Origgio Ovest, with significant slowdowns for those travelling on the motorway towards Milan.

To ensure maximum safety and minimise inconvenience, we recommend following the instructions below:

  • Recommended entry towards Milan: use the A9-A36 Pedemontana junction on A9 Lainate-Chiasso.

  • Recommended exit coming from Varese: use the A8-A36 Pedemontana junction.

All motorists are advised to pay particular attention and adjust their speed on the stretch of road affected by the accident. Always keep a safe distance and follow any instructions provided by the competent authorities on traffic.
