On the A9 Lainate-Como-Chiasso, there are major closures due to roadworks near Lainate.

The A9/A8 Milan-Varese junction will remain closed to traffic until 05:00 on 21 January 2025 to allow for the completion of roadworks.

All drivers coming from Como towards Milan are advised to pay particular attention and follow the signs for detours.

In particular, the following is recommended:

• Recommended entry towards Milan: Legnano entrance on the A8 Milan-Varese.
• Recommended exit coming from Como: Legnano exit on the A8 Milan-Varese.
