The French ultra sports car will become part of the body of the gendarmerie cars.
The performance aspects are obviously something fascinating for any car enthusiast.
Police bodies have always been associated with very sporty and revolutionary cars also in terms of performance.
A few days ago, the French national gendarmerie decided to choose the new Alpine A110 for the next few years.
It is obviously not the first time that the French security force has chosen its cars. In fact, we remember the Mégane RS as well as the Renault 18 and 21 Turbo. On 11 October, Renault won the contract for the development of a collaboration for the next four years.
The first cars will be delivered in early 2022 and will be clearly customized with the colors and equipment needed for the occasion. These vehicles in particular will be used on the freeway for cars that have broken speed limits and need to be intercepted very quickly.
Likewise, these cars will also be used for road safety missions and for the judicial police such as drug trafficking.
These cars are characterized by a rear-wheel drive mid-engine that will significantly rejuvenate the fleet of the French Security Corps.
The car will be produced entirely in France, it is also a 0 km product if we want to see it in this way.
The cars that will receive the gendarmes will be characterized by a 1800 cubic centimeter engine with turbocharger and 252 horsepower. Acceleration times are just 4.5 seconds to reach 100 km per hour starting from a standstill with a maximum speed that can be reached of 250 km per hour.
Each nation clearly has its own cars declined to the world of safety. In Italy, a collaboration between Alpine and our police and security forces has not yet been presented.
This choice of creating a differentiation even within the various police bodies therefore allows us to see how the different cars built in different areas of the world are still very performing and interesting to view from this point of view.
In fact, the Alpine brand has always been linked to the concepts of performance and speed and therefore allows you to have everything under control even from an aspect of national security in France.
We therefore can't wait to see these cars on the road in French territory, obviously hoping that their use will be as sparing as possible given the hoped-for decrease in crimes not only in France but in all parts of the world.
