The French company has presented and opened orders for its # C5x, the flagship sedan that winks at the world of SUVs. Let's find out together.
Citroen has decided to make a sedan that has a component in terms of SUVs. In fact, some features have been drawn from the world that is so much appreciated lately and have been carried over into the main sedan of the Citroen world.
We still have to wait a few months to see this vehicle on the road as the presentation in the showrooms and the delivery of the first cars in Italy is scheduled for the beginning of 2022, but it is possible to choose the petrol or plugin hybrid version.
In terms of engine we have the option of having a 130 or 180 horsepower car, both characterized by an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
In case we want to opt for the plugin hybrid version , we will be able to count on a powertrain characterized by an 81 kW electric motor and a 12 kWh lithium-ion battery. In this way, the autonomy in electric only is over 50 km and the total power released by the system is 225 km horsepower.
Those who decide to buy this vehicle can choose between 4 different environments characterizing the car. Let's start with the Urban Gray trim where the mix of gray fabric and black leather effect fabric characterizes the car in the interior.
Then there is a version with black leather and gray inserts and a brushed metal effect or even a dashboard characterized by a wood effect with a geometric pattern.
Finally, we also have the Hype Adamantium version, where two shades of leather are combined with wood-colored moldings on the dashboard.
Expanding the speech we note that Citroen wanted to create three trim levels, however, characterized by a good overall version already in the basic trim.
In fact, the latter can count on Advance control seats, lumbar regulator for the driver's seat, reversing camera, 19-inch alloy wheels, Advance Confort suspension, dual-zone automatic climate.
Aesthetically, the car is certainly very particular and in the front it takes up the game of the headlights that is now making characterization for what concerns the current Citroens.
Observing it in its complexity, we see how the rear end from the three-quarters is particular as it is characterized by a line of windows that get smaller with the rear, in which we find the same graphic game proposed again in the rear part.
In this way the car truly resembles a compact SUV almost Coupé as the rear slips and tapers in not a single point.
The arched roof and the double rear spoilers positioned in the upper and lower part of the rear window, give the car from the rear three quarters a decidedly dynamic and forward-looking line.
As for the prices we are talking about € 33,000 petrol base and starting from € 45,000 for the hybrid plugin version.
