The House of the Scorpion presented the limited edition of a cult object for Abarth lovers. Compared to the # 595 competition, we have aesthetic and technical changes. Let's find out together.
Abarth lovers and enthusiasts are always looking for something more. A few hours ago, a special limited edition version was released. This car is inspired by the 1964 Esseesse version.
This new version is made in just 1390 units, divided between 695 units in Scorpione black color and 695 in Campovolo gray color. Going down on the performance side, the comparison is definitely interesting. The car has a top speed of 225 kilometers per hour and 0-100 km / h acceleration in just 6.7 seconds.
All this is thanks to the 1,400 cubic centimeter turbo petrol engine with 180 horsepower , capable of delivering 250 Newtonmeter of torque. Fiat wanted to combine this engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox and, as an option, a robotic mechanical gearbox.
Looking at it externally, you can immediately notice in the rear, the set-up created ad hoc.
In fact, the rear spoiler can be adjusted to different levels of incidence. It can have a neutral position to reach the maximum speed. Alternatively, it can be modified and reached 60 degrees, in order to develop a maximum aerodynamic load weight at 200 km per hour.
Obviously the purpose of the rear spoiler is to give stability to the rear axle , also in collaboration with the Koni shock absorbers at selective frequency. In this way the car will literally be glued to the road.
All fans of technical data will be happy to know that the alloy wheels are 17 inches and the tires are 205/40.
Obviously the braking system is a Brembo with 4 pumping red calipers. The exhaust is Akrapovic in titanium, to give that extra touch of sportiness and sound.
A gem worthy of the most advanced engineering, it made it possible to save 10 kg thanks to an excellent workmanship in the aluminum engine hood.
Climbing aboard the car, we immediately notice the beauty of the pedals or even the carbon fiber gearbox. The comfort on board is really good, even if we are on a purely ultra sports car.
The seats are Sabelt and allow you to drive this exceptional car comfortably. On them there is an inscription, for the first time, a progressive numbering on the seats.
There is also an Alcantara coating for the dashboard of the car, which is really well done.
In terms of connectivity, this limited version Abarth obviously has the Uconnect infotainment system with navigator and 7-inch touch screen with Apple carplay and Android auto preparation.
We have seen how Abarth is able, every time, to surpass itself in order to create something exceptional. Once again we have seen how a timeless myth of Italian sportsmanship has managed to make a difference, once again creating something unique.
