The legendary German company presented its commercial vehicle transformed and adapted to the customer world a few hours ago, driven by a 100% electric power supply. Let's find out together.
Opel is churning out a whole series of very interesting innovations also within the world of sustainable mobility.
The time has come to present the new Combo and Life starting at around € 37,500.
We are talking about a vehicle born and designed for the commercial world but which has also been transformed for the world of customer customers. It is presented with a 5-seater version but also with a 7-seater version thanks to the wheelbase that can be chosen between short and long. The short version is in fact 4 meters and 40 cm long while there is also the extra long version of 4 m and 75 cm.
The progress of sustainable mobility has prompted Opel to create a 100% electric version capable of traveling up to 280 km on a single charge. It is equipped with a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery, and it takes just 30 minutes to recharge the car up to 80% thanks to public charging stations in direct current.
The electric motor has a power of 136 horsepower and 260 Newtonmeter of torque perfect for also having an excellent thrust at the traffic light.
For all fans of technical data, it only takes 11.6 seconds to go from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour and the self-limited maximum speed is 135 km per hour.
To create this car, or rather the electric engine, 216 cells and 18 modules were created which were positioned under the floor at the front and rear axles. The loading mode is absolutely unaffected by any encumbrance and the car is totally stable and well balanced.
Those who buy this car obviously need a lot of space and the cargo volume is certainly not lacking inside the new Combo-e. With the short configuration we can reach up to 2126 liters and the seats folded down or 2693 liters in the long wheelbase configuration.
The new Combo-e obviously has as its twin the petrol or diesel heat engine version that was crowned in the 2019 Best Buy Car.
Opel has created an electric version of a very well-appointed vehicle that manages to satisfy quite a few demands. In fact, all those who buy this vehicle are looking for an important cargo space but also an excellent habitability. The electric version does not change the important comfort on board the traditional and endothermic Combo.
An electric version is perfect for all those who are interested in significantly reducing operating costs and are looking for a vehicle that also responds to the green incentives that several European countries are currently developing.
The price to take this vehicle home starts at around € 37,000 from which we obviously have to subtract all the economic incentives that can in some cases even reach € 6000 in Italy.
We are therefore talking about important figures but figures that are good or bad in line with current electric cars. This car will not have a huge autonomy, but we can still confidently say that it is an excellent means of transporting people in everyday life.
