With the month of July comes the restyling of the Kia Ceed after 3 years from its launch in 2019.
Kia has always been one of the most important car manufacturers globally. Characterized by an interesting quality and very competitive prices, here is the restyling of its compact car X Cee'd.
In September, with prices starting from around € 27000, the new version is coming with a line that has been modified for this Crossover, really very well done.
Technically we are therefore talking about the Kia X Cee'd, launched in 2019 and now the subject of a major restyling. Aesthetic, but also technological innovations in addition to the new ultra-sporty set-up.
Production will start at the factory in Slovakia, with deliveries for Autumn this year.
Looking at this car, you can see how the line as a whole does not change much, even if there are many interesting aspects. At the front, we find the main differences, starting with the headlights which have a different light design. The grille is now larger, and allows for an unprecedented air conveyor.
The fog lights in the new version are integrated into the headlight assembly of the low beams, in order to have more space for a new design of the bumper. Looking at the top versions, you notice these large 18-inch wheels with 235 mm wide tires and a shoulder of 45.
Looking back at the car, Kia has modified the air diffuser, with a glossy black plate and a new seat for the exhausts. The sportier version is also able to show off beautiful taillights, with a honeycomb texture. A choice by the designers of the Kia house, very interesting indeed.
The ultra-sporty version allows for very successful specifications, starting with some dark chrome moldings and door sills in the same color as the bodywork.
The other versions of this car, however, see an internal renewal starting from the 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, equipped with Full HD technology. Do not miss the multimedia system, with a 10-inch touch screen compatible with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Clearly we have reached the most advanced levels of infotainment at Kia.
The materials have been slightly modified. Now they are really very soft to the touch, and allow you to have them in a combination with seats in fabric, suede, or synthetic leather or real leather.
The ultra-sporty version allows for a “cut” steering wheel in the lower part, as well as seats made exclusively for the purpose.
As for the engines, we finally have the plugin versions available. It is a 4-cylinder with 1600 cubic centimeters of displacement and an electric motor capable of unleashing 60 horsepower with a 6-speed double clutch. The overall power manages to release 265 Newtonmeter of torque.
There is also a GPL version, with a 3-cylinder 1000 cubic cm turbocharger, as well as various Mild Hybrid diesel versions of 1600 cubic cm and a torque of 320 Newton meters. There are also the updates of the Adas, which allow you to have a Smart speed control system, very well done.
Here's how Kia wanted to renew, a product already well optimized under a new graphic guise. Kia Cee'd in the X version, is able to fit into a very crowded segment that can position itself between crossovers and sports sedans.
Also equipped with new body colors, it manages to be very attractive to the new generations. All in all, we are talking about good quality, at very competitive prices. The € 27,000 must be discounted for all the incentives and promotions made by the South Korean automotive company.
It is therefore able to offer good quality, at a much lower price than other competitive companies, with a more prestigious name. Clearly buying a Kia isn't like buying a BMW, but people who buy a Kia probably aren't interested in buying a BMW, and vice versa. In fact, it manages to position itself towards a target with an average budget, however looking for a good quality guarantee of realization.
