The maxi SUV of the Spanish house sees the entry into production of a sporty version from 245 horsepower to 7 seats. Let's find out together.

Seat has been doing a great job lately in terms of quality production. The average level of Seat cars in fact increased significantly with the De Meo era. In fact, the managing director managed to make the Spanish company perceive as an interesting car company in terms of quality.

If in recent years, the fashion of the moment is definitely SUVs , Seat has managed to define a series of very interesting models according to the needs of the individual. In addition to the more traditional Arona and Ateca, they have already introduced Seat Tarraco for some time. This is a large SUV that fully expresses the Seat style. A well-finished, sporty style but without having to spend too much money to take an SUV home.

The Tarraco has seen in recent weeks the introduction of a new very sporty engine, also available with a large family set-up . In fact, we are talking about the 245 HP 2.0 TSI DSG 4drive version which is available both with the 5-seat version but also with the 7-seat version.

The new engine clearly joins the petrol and diesel engines already present in the Seat Tarraco lineup. There is also a plug-in hybrid version, capable of releasing 245 horsepower too.

The version that has just been introduced, however, is totally petrol, and is the most powerful available on the Tarraco. A full 245 hp petrol engine which, combined with an intelligent 4drive all-wheel drive , allow the SUV to be driven incredibly safe in any situation. Without having to overdo it in ordinary situations, traction still allows you to have a safe vehicle both on smooth asphalt but also in the most demanding conditions.

The gearbox is the classic DSG of the Volkswagen group , which allows you to make gear changes very smoothly even if it is always a fully automatic gearbox. The car clearly uses a turbo engine, as can be seen from the TSI lettering. This turbocharger model is applied to a 4-cylinder, 2-liter engine structure with 370 Newtonmeter of torque.

All this translates into an acceleration time of just 6.2 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km per hour and a maximum speed that can be reached of 228 km per hour.

This new engine will be available in the FR and Xcellence trim levels, the top of the range in terms of elegance and sportiness. It will also be possible to choose the 5 or 7 seat set-up depending on the need to carry more or less people and more or less luggage.

Production will be located at the production site in Wolfsburg.

For all those who are afraid of knowing the consumption of this very high maxi SUV, the data declared by the Spanish car manufacturer Seat, state that the combined consumption is between 8.4 and 9.2 liters per 100 km according to the WLTP homologation cycle. .

The data in terms of CO2 emissions are not exactly contained and in fact are about 191 grams per km in the combined WLTP cycle.
