The British driver seems to have found an agreement with the Formula 1 team, still at the top of the sector for two years.

It seems that the quarrel between the seven-time world champion Hamilton and Mercedes has come to an end. In fact, the parties seem to have found an agreement for a truly interesting biennial, in every respect.

It is in fact a contract valid for 2021 and 2022 for about 40 or 45 million euros per year. Yes, you are reading well, around 40 or 45 million euros per year. These are certainly impressive figures for a normal person, but we still consider that we are talking about people who literally risk their lives at every single turn.

If we try to think locally, the players can reach even higher figures by adding various benefits and sponsorships. And despite that I don't think there is a chance of a fatal accident during a football match.

That aside, Hamilton seems to have found a very good contract at 36.

However, there is one thing that is interesting to observe in the contract or rather in the footnotes of the latter. In fact, it seems that Hamilton wanted a clause inserted in the contract that prevents Verstappen from sitting in the seat of a Mercedes. It is as if Hamilton said "take him or me".

And in the end, the management of Mercedes decided to choose him, also because Verstappen is still a boy, who although he expressed his qualities at the highest levels of # F1, has never yet got on a Mercedes ... it would be a leap in the empty. Obviously, there are also all the bonuses linked to the objectives and incentives that have not yet been released publicly to be considered.

More than Verstappen, however, in our opinion, we need greater attention from Hamilton towards Russell . We'll never know if Russell was truly in the mood to take his place, but the general sentiment within the Formula 1 circus is that this guy will go a long way.

Certainly one aspect that worked in Hamilton's favor was his long friendship with Toto Wolff. Mercedes number 1, he met Hamilton even in 2013. 8 years of work together in very close contact. Hamilton and Toto Wolff took a good car and made it invincible in many ways. In fact, several times both had stated that it was not an economic question, but a vision of intent on some issues.

We honestly don't know what Hamilton's personal goals are, other than to reach the eighth or ninth world champion title and be the undisputed king of all Formula 1 history. Apart from that, there are no big goals that can to spur the British driver in a clear way. Clearly he can go up to 100 career wins and 100 pole positions as he is simply missing 5 wins and 2 poles .

It can be safely said that both objectives are largely within Hamilton's reach and have little psychological incentive.

We will see if the English driver identifies new goals, even outside of Formula 1, which are able to give him the energy to win the eighth and ninth world champion titles.
